Moody Awori was born into a prominent family in Butere, a small town in western Kenya. Moody Awori Education background

In 1998, Awori entered electoral politics and was elected to the National Assembly to represent the constituency of Funyula. He quickly rose through the ranks and was appointed to several key positions, including as the Minister of Home Affairs and National Heritage, and later as the Minister of Planning and National Development.
