He also did Ph.D in Economics from the Peoples’ friendships University in USSR he also holds a MSc degree in Economics from the same University.
Career background
Oburu served as a member of parliament for Bondo Constituency from 1994 to 2013. He was also appointed as the Assistant Minister for finance a position he also served up to 2013. During the 2013 general elections he was appointed to serve as a Member of National Assembly where he served from 2013 to 2017. Oburu vied for the position of Siaya County Senator in the 2022 general elections and won.
