Governor Mutahi Kahiga biography
Mutahi Kahiga is the third and a two-term governor of Nyeri County. He became governor after the death of Wahome Gakuru on November 7, 2017. However, in 2022, Mutahi defended his seat via UDA party ticket and was re-elected as Nyeri County governor. Despite being the governor of Nyeri he is also a well-known politician in our country.

Having completed his primary education at Kiganjo Primary School Hon. Mutahi joined St. Mary’s High School found in Nyeri town for his secondary education in 1973. He then worked as a photographer for a period of one year before joining Kisii TTC taking P1 certificate course. Having completed his A level Mutahi got admitted at the Kenya Methodist University for bachelor’s degree in education.
Kahiga did his Masters in the same place and graduated in 2020. He is still on for his PhD at Kenya Methodist University in Education Management and Leadership.
