Jeremiah Kioni biography

Jeremiah Ngayu Kioni is a Kenyan politician. He has been a member of parliament for Ndaragwa constituency a position he has earned since 2007 general election.

However, he lost his seat in 2022 after trying to defend his seat on Azimio Coalition ticket.

Kioni has been Ndarangua Constituency MP since 2007 general election. During his service as a member of parliament he served in different parliamentary committees.

From 2008 to 2013 he worked as member of standing order committee and powers and privileges committee. He later worked as the chairman of the parliamentary select committee on unlawful gangs.

Jeremiah also worked as a member of Parliamentary Select committee of constitution, a member of standing order committee in 2008 to 2013 he was a member of Defense and foreign affairs. From 2017 he has been the chairperson of constitutional Implementation oversight committee. In 2007 Kioni was elected as Member of Parliament for Ndaragwa constituency.

On 22^nd January 2013 Kioni was appointed by Musalia Mudavadi as his presidential running mate during the 2013 general elections.

However, his bid to defend his parliamentary seat on August 2022 general election did not bear him any fruit. He lost his seat.
