Age and early life of Rachel
She was born on 28th November 1968 in Western reigion ok Kenya. Rachel is 55 years old. She was raised together with her brother Samuel Cyrus Shikuku. Her parents are unknown to the public.
Rachel Ruto Education background
The First lady attended Likuyani primary school in Kakamega where she sat for her Certificate of primary education, she then joined Butere girls for her secondary education for both O-level and A-level.
Later she joined Kenyatta University to pursue a Bachelor of education degree. She also attended the Catholic University of East Africa for Master of Art degree in 2011.

Rachel got married to William Ruto in 1991 and they are blessed with seven children who are Nick Ruto, June Ruto, Charlene Ruto, Stephanie Ruto, George Ruto and Nadia Ruto.
Career
Rachel worked as a secondary school teacher for some time before she started a tour business. She served as the second lady from 2013 to 2022 when her husband served as the deputy president of Kenya.
During her tenure as the Second Lady of Kenya, she has become an advocate for women’s rights and women’s empowerment.
Through the Joyful Women Organization, she has encouraged a table banking initiative throughout Kenya, and spreading to the rest of Africa. Her objectives were mainly to empower and protect women interest. These objectives are incorporated in the Mama Organizations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) advocated by various organizations such as Joyful Women Organization, Destiny Women Capital, Mama Cycling, Carakana, Mama Fresh, Mama Feeding, and Rear Guard.
