Biography
Victor Roy Pratt is a businessperson and chairperson Board of Directors at the Retirement Benefits Authority (RBA) of Kenya. His first appointment to this position was in 2016 but reappointed in May 2019 by then Cabinet Secretary, Treasury, Henry Rotich. Pratt is also the founder of Continental Management Consultants Ltd and African Management Associates (AMA).
Prior to joining RBA, Pratt worked in the transport, telecommunications, and energy sectors as a small business developer.
He married the first-born daughter of Kenya’s first president, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta in the 1980s.

Victor Roy Pratt’s early life and family origin
Victor comes from a family of the longest-serving Liberian president William Tubman who served from 1944 until his death in 1971. His relationship with William Tubman is that of an uncle.
Victor Pratt’s cousin, Winston Tubman is a prominent Liberian politician who unsuccessfully vied for the presidency in 2011. However, Winston served as a Cabinet Minister in Liberia.
Their family footprints do not end in Liberia, Tubman Road in Nairobi, Kenya was named after William Tubman.

Having been brought up in a prominent Liberian political family, Victor Pratt’s standards blended well with a Kenyan political family. He married Kristina Wambui Kenyatta Pratt, the daughter of Kenya’s first president, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta and sister to Kenya’s fourth President, Uhuru Kenyatta.
The couple has four children; Selina Rene (1982), Ngina (1983), Nyokabi Pratt(1985) and Jomo (1993).
Nyokabi Pratt is a musician and a songwriter. Nyokabi’s stage name is Kavi Pratt. She entertained President Barack Obama in 2015 when he visited Kenya.

Mr. Pratt has led numerous international business promotion initiatives under the auspices of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Young Presidents Organization (YPO), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Commonwealth Secretariat, Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) and United National Development Programme (UNDP).
Victor is the founder of Continental Management Consultants Ltd. based in Nairobi, Kenya and African Management Associates (AMA).
He is the Business Development Adviser of International Companies in the transport and telecommunications, energy, urban development, housing and agricultural sectors.
Pratt once served as Chairman of Kenya Reinsurance Corporation.
Victor is the current chairperson of the Retirement Benefits Authority in Kenya.
