Robert Tonyan is an American professional football tight end player, and he is currently playing for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He has also played for other teams like the Indiana States.

Tonyan played his college football at Indiana State which he joined in 2012 and he managed to make appearance in 11 games in 2013. He made a record of 57-yard touchdown, and he completed 35 of 102 passes for 348 yards with three touchdowns.
During his second year he joined the wide receiver and recorded 54 passes caught for 747 yards (he became the 6th in the school history) and four touchdowns, including a career-high of 172 yards in the closing game of the season. N 2015 which was his junior season Tonyan recorded 40 receptions for 601 yards and six touchdowns in just six of 11 games. He recorded 56 receptions for 699 yards and a school-record ten touchdowns.

His profession career began in 2017 when he signed a three year contract worth $1.66 million with Detroit Lion. This made him the 10th in Indiana State to have reached the NFL but he was released before the season started.
He then moved to Green Bay Packers’ at the practice squad for the finals of the 2017 season, resigned in the following season of 2018 and made appearances I the first 9 games and during his first reception he made 54-yard touchdown in a match against Seattle Seahawks. Tonyan concluded the season with four receptions for 77 receiving yards and one touchdown.
In the 2019 season he made a total of ten receptions for 100 receiving yards. In the 2020 season he Packers’ re-signed Tonyan and placed him in the contract in Green Bay and in September during week 2 in a match against the Detroit Lions he recorded 11-yard touchdown pass with a win of 42–21. Against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ina 31-26 loss Tonyan made 4 catches for 22 yards and one touchdown. In May 2021 Tonyan signed a tender worth $3.4 million with the Packers. During their 8 th game against Arizona Cardinals he had a knee injury and was in the injured reserve from November 2021 to March the following year.
On 20th March 2022 Tonyan re-signed another one year contract with Packers. Then in March 2023 he moved to Chicago Bears and signed a one year contract.
