Patrick Aussems career
Aussems in his playing career, always had a coaching qualification. He coached a professional team known as Kadji Sport Academy in Cameroon. He also joined the professional staff of SCO Angers.
Patrick then became the Technical Director CIFAS in Cotonou, Benin and the National Technical Director of the Benin Football federation and the national coach. That was in the years 2006 and 2007 respectively. Benin was able to participate in three CAN (African Cup of Nations) during Aussems’ mandate.
Later on, in the year 2009, the former footballer, Patrick joined the Haute-Savoie and became coach Evian Thonon Gaillard Football Club which was then national. He also coached Shenzhen Ruby FC which is a Chinese Supper League for two seasons, flagship club of Chinese metropolis, located near Hong Kong.
In 2013 on April, Aussems the head coach of FC Chengdu Blades in China. His main mission was to keep the club’s flagship Sichuan province in China League One.
On January 2014 Aussems departed from China to Dolisie in Congo-Brazaville where he became the head coach of AC Leopard which is engaged in African Champions League.
Being out of contract, he pleaded for 2015 season with Al-Hilal which was a Sudanese Club Giant Khartoum but decided to exit the club few months later due to differences of opinions with its leaders.
Head coach Simba S.C
Patrick then became the head coach of Simba S.C, champions of the Tanzanian premier league in the year 2018. The Belgian coach targeted to win the Champions League when he was hired for his experience in continental competitions. Furthermore, the Tanzanian players were ambitious and desired to be counted among the top five (5) clubs in Africa.
By the help of Patrick as their coach, The Simba S.C. reached the quarter finals of the African Champions league. He therefore, signed up a new one -year contract to continue as the head coach for the 2019/20 season.
It was then in 2019 that Simba S.C. parted ways with the Belgian coach through mutual consent.
He as well coached the Black Leopards and AFC Leopards in 2020 and 2021 respectively.
He also continued with his career at the Troyes before finishing his playing career in Reunion, winning many titles with Saint Louisienne.
