Joseph Mayanja whose stage name is Jose Chameleon is a Ugandan Afrobeat singer and songwriter who
mostly sings in Luganda, English and Kiswahili.

His love for musical career can be clearly traced back to 1996 when he worked as a DJ at the Missouri night club in Kampala, Uganda. He later joined one of the Kdenyan record label named Ogopa Djs and this is where he discovered his music talent after he released first single known as ‘Bageya’ ft Redsan.
However, Chameleon released his first album in 2000 and thereafter he released a total of thirteen albums including Valu valu, Sweet Banana, Kipepeo, Bayuda, Badilisha, Shida za dunia

Chameleon is now a CEO for a music label known as Leone Island.
