Biography of John Mbadi

John Mbadi is a Kenyan Politician and the current Member of Parliament for Gwasi constituency following the 2022 general polls and the minority party leader in parliament.

Mbadi attended Ligongo primary school from 1979 to 1986. He later joined Kokuto Boys Secondary school in 1987 where he sat for his KCSE in 1990.

When he was done with secondary education he enrolled at the University of Nairobi in 1992 where he pursued Bachelor of Commerce  and graduated in 1996.  Years later, Mbadi pursued Master of Business Administration.

Mbadi served the Student Welfare Authority as an Assistant Accountant from 1996 to 1999. He then served the University of Nairobi as the Accountant where he was later promoted to be the senior accountant in 2003. From 2004 to 2008 he worked with the Media Easy Africa- South Sudan as the finance director.

In 2008 Mbadi was elected to the National Assembly as the Member of Parliament for Gwasi Constituency a position be served up to 2013 general elction. During the 2013 general elections Mbadi won election in the position of the Suba Constituency where he was the Assistant Minister at the office of the Prime Minister.

During the 2022 general elections Mbadi was elected to represent the people of Gwasi Constituency at the National assembly. He is currently serving as the Minority leader in the National Assembly.

In the National assembly Mbadi was a member of Budget Committee and also a member of Public Investment Committee
