NBA draft

During the 2011 NBA draft, Chicago Bulls selected him as the 30th overall pick. In December same year Jimmy signed his rookie contract with the Chicago Bulls. Unfortunately, the season was facing an NBA lockout which was the most recent and the fourth one which lasted for 161 days. The season resumed on November 1st.

In his debut season Jimmy appeared in 42 games and recorded 2.6 points each game with the Bulls. Contract

In 2013 October 30th his contract was again extending for one year. He helped the Bulls to establish another Bulls record after he managed to be active on the court for 6 minutes. During their last game for the season with the Bulls he did well which led the Bulls to their open season game against the Boston Celtics in 2016 October.
