Silvio as a youth had interest in music as he worked in Mediterenian Board ships performing as a cruise ships singer. During the 1960s he decided to venture into business and began building his own empire in media. He is the founder of Edilnord a real estate company after which he decided to start investing in media industry.

Berlusconi came up and launched Telemilano a local cable television station that then grew into Canake 5 which is a national network. He also obtained radio stations, publishing g houses and also television networks. In 1980 Silvio came up broadcasting company named Mediaset. It grew and became among the biggest and widely spread media station in the entire Italy. His media company helped to exert political influence and shaping public opinion.

Politics

Silvio joined politics in 1994 where he formed his own political party named center right political party Forza Italia (Foward Italy). His fame in business made his party gain favor as in the parliament the Forza Italia Party was the leading when elections were done. He won and became the Prime minister of Italy where he started serving the Italians in May same year to January 1995.

He again came out for the same position and won serving in the position for two terms with his first term being from 2001-2006 and his second term running from 2008-2011. As an entrepreneur his administration for used on mainly Labor market flexibility followed by economic liberation and tax reforms.  He also promoted and improved the development of infrastructure including construction of bridges, highways among others. Him and his team also focused in improving the Transport network and communication networks.

Outside politics Silvio had interest in football and for the longest time he served one of the Italians most successful football club named AC Millan. After acquiring the club, the AC Milan attained a number of victories both locally and internationally.
