His first album comprised five song but ‘Muhadhara’ created a base from which other hit songs such as ‘Huratiti’ found their ways to the listeners. Jimmy went ahead to work with several other artists including travelling down to South Africa for collaboration with Papa Dennis.
The hit song ‘Mzuka huu’ provided Gait with an opportunity to bring several gospel stars and the message was to vehemently appreciate artists who were impressively placing the gospel scene a notch higher. Along with starting the “Make it or Make it” campaign, Jimmy is also known for his work in music.
