Allan Wanga Biography

Allan Wanga is a Kenyan football player who is currently retired but used to play for Kakamega Homeboyz club within the Kenyan Premier League. He used to serve the role of a striker when he was still in the club.

His football role models are McDonald Mariga of Inter Milan and former French New York Red Bulls striker Thierry Henry. Coincidentally, all his role models are fellow Kenyan footballers.

Age and early life of Allan Wanga

Allan came from footballing family of Mr. Frank Watende a former A. F.C Leopards and Harambee Stars player. His mother is the Noel Ayieta who had passed from intestinal cancer back in 2015.

The talented striker was born on the month of November 26th 1985 in the City of Kisumu. His passion in football began when he was still young in primary school and used to play for FIFA Kingdom club in Kisumu.

Allan comes from a family of four. His other siblings are Richard Malaki, Nancy Kuboka and Magdalene Amboko.

Allan Wanga Career journey

Wanga’s begun his journey when he first joined Lolwe FC in 2005 and played for a period of 3months. He performed really well during the period scoring 8 goals for the team in 12 matches they played.

Allan then went to Tusker FC in 2007 and performed for the team during a whole season scoring 21 goals in 23 games they played. At the end of the season Wanga was signed to join Angolan team Petro Atletico and scored 19 goals for the 35times he appeared in the field.

He then took a contract of six-months in Azerbaijani club in January 2010 and then went to Vietnamese club known as Hoang Anh Gia Lai. Wanga then proceeded to Sudanese giants Al_Merrikh SC on one year contract in 2014.

After the contract over, Allan joined Tanzanian club Azam FC for one year contract in 2015 after which he came back home in 2016 to Tusker FC. Allan then announced his retirement from football on 8th July 2019 not knowing that he was still on contract with Kakamega Homeboyz. He later retired on the 10th of September 2021.

The former NTV reporter Brenda Mulinga Wanga is the better half to the striker Allan Wanga. They first met during the match between Harambee Stars and Guinea in 2009 as she was covering the match for TV. They married each other later in 2011 and have two children, a daughter called Adanna and the son called Jayden.

His net worth is estimated to be KSh 10 million. Much of his wealth is from professional football talent. Additionally, he owns a beautiful house in Nairobi.
