Victor Wanyama Career Journey
Wanyama began his football career at the age of 15 as a player for JMJ Academy for a period of three years before joining Kenya Premier League clubs Nairobi City Star and AFC Leopards. He then joined Allsvenslian club Helsingborg then later signed a four-year contract for Beerschot AC in 2008. Due to his impressive play Scottish Premier League club, Celtic attempted their lack to sign Wanyama but Beerschot never allowed it to take place in 2010.
Wanyama then moved to Celtic on 9th July 2011 and played for a while before signing a contract to join Southampton on 11th July 2013. He was the first Kenyan to ever play in the premier league in a four-year
contract.
Tottenham Hotspurs then announced their coming into an agreement with Southampton for the transfer of Wanyama.
