His mother the late Vero Adeleke who was also a University lecturer. Being the youngest in a family of 5 his has siblings named Ashley Coco, Adewale Adeleke and Sharon Adeleke.

Davido attended British International School which is in Lagos Nigeria. When he was 16 he moved to the United States and joined Oakwood University in Alabama to pursue business administration. In 2011 he got back to Nigeria where he pursued his music career at the Babcock University.

David’s music career began in 2011 when he released his first official single named “Back When” in May which was recorded in London. It was followed by his debut album called “Omo Baba Olowo“, the album contained among his hit singles like Oversees, Duro and Ekuro. David sold the album with a success and could then work with a cross section of talented artists.
In 2013 it was the Album of the year and also got the R and B during the 2013 Headies. The same year together with his friend released single namely One of a kind, Skelewu and Gobe. In 2014 he released his hit song named Aye in February and the video was shot by Clarence Peter. That year he also collaborated with Mafikizolo a South African music star where they released the song named Tchelete which means Good life. Then in 2015 his song Fans Mi’s trap with Meek Mill as the guest artist.
In 2016 Davido decided and announced that he would sign with a Sony music subsidiary called RCA in July. The following year (2017) Davido did his top hitting singles namely If and Fall and both have been on top of the Billboard chart both internationally and locally. In 2018 the song won the Song of The Year at the 2018 Headies and had sold over 200000 units.
In November 2019 Davido was out with his second album titled A Good Time and followed by his third album named Better time. He then had a formal signing with the HKN records. During his career journey he also founded his own record label called Davido founded his record label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) in 2016. The label is home to music stars: Mayorkun, Peruzzi, Dremo, Liya, Yonda, and Idowest.
