Yvonne Okwara Matole is a much-known media personality working for Royal Media Services. She is well-known for airing News Gang together with Francis Gachuri, Jamila Mohammed, Linus Kaikai and Joe Ageyo on Thursdays, every week on Citizen Television.
She also conducts the program “The Explainer”, where she explains facts concerning life, the government and the economy.

Yvonne is the last born in a family of three children. Her mother’s name is Esther Ambale Sande but details concerning her father are not publicly known. Unfortunately, her elder brother, Albert Okwara died in 2018 of German measles at fifty (50) years.

The famous news anchor, Yvonne went to Cathedral Primary School for her primary education. She later on attended Kianda High School and then enrolled at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology after her high school education.
At the University, she pursued a degree course in Microbiology after which she decided to venture into journalism.

Okwara Matole has a great working experience as a journalist since she has served at different media platforms which are KBC, NTV, Kenya Television Network (KTN and is currently working at Citizen Television.
She began her journey as a media personality by hosting children shows at KBC and later on served at QFM in the year 2008 on a talk show.
From there, Yvonne moved to Nation Media (NTV) and worked for a while before signing a contract with Standard Group and worked at Kenya Television Network (KTN) in 2012 where she hosted the Checkpoint Show which aired on Sundays.
Around 2018, Matole Yvonne got another contract which she signed up with the Royal Media Services and from then henceforth began working as prime time news anchor. Today, she is a senior news anchor and editor in charge of research and planning at Citizen Television.
