Wavinya Ndeti is a Kenyan female politician. Currently, she is Machakos County Governor having won the seat in 2022 general elections against Nzioka Waita
She is among the few female governors who were elected in 2022 general elections. Others are, Susan Kihika of Nakuru County, Kawira Mwangaza of Meru County, Anne Waiguru of Kirinyaga County, Gladys Wanga of Homa Bay County, Cecily Mbarire of Embu County, and Fatuma Achani of Kwale County.

Wavinya Ndeti Age and family
Hon. Wavinya is 55years of age having been born on 8th November 1967 in Machakos County. She is a daughter to Peter Nzuki Ndeti and Mukulu Elizabeth Ndeti. Wavinya is not the only daughter in the family but other siblings also, Kalondu Ndeti and Dominic Ndeti. She was lucky as their family was well off.

Education Background of Wavinya Ndeti
Machakos Governor schooled at Mount St. Mary`s Primary school for her certificate of Primary
education. She then proceeded to Kenya High for her secondary education.
Wavinya later went to UK for her Diploma in Computer in South Bank University. She took Business System Analysis and Design at Computer Training Center found in UK. She also went to City University
in London for further studies.

Career Journey of Wavinya Ndeti
Governor Wavinya joined politics back in 2007 when she contested and was elected as MP for Kathiani Consituency under Chama Cha Uzalendo. This was after she participated in ODM- Kenya primaries and lost to Peter Kyalo Kaindi. Wavinya later contested for the governor seat in 2013 and 2017 but lost to Dr. Alfred Mutua. She was voted in during the August 2022 as Machakos Governor.
Wavinya’s Husband and Children
Hon.Wavinya was the wife to the late Dolamu Henry Oduwole since 1990 until the husband passed in 2016. The husband was an Assistant Sport Minister.
The late husband was admitted to Nairobi Hospital following his blood pressure shooting up. He passed upon being placed in the ICU. The two are blessed with kids, two of them being boys and one girl. They are Charles, Daniel and Mary.
Mary managed to graduate with a degree in law from Strathmore University.
