He was born on the 29th of August 1973 to Rudolf Tuchel and Gabriele Tuchel. Therefore, he is 50 years. His father was also a football coach.

Tuchel started his career as a member of the local club, the TSV Krumbach, coached by his father Rudolf.
He joined FC Augsburg academy in 1988, however, he was later released soon after he turned 19. His father Tuchel signed for 2. Bundesliga side Stuttgarter Kickers in 1992.
He played 2 games during the 1992-1993 season then he joined Regionalliga Süd side SSV Ulm. Thomas managed a number of clubs including FC Augsburg II Mainz 05, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea

Coaching career
Tuchel coaching career began in 2000 when he was hired by Ralf Rangnick as youth team coach. He coached the under-19 group of the club then left after that season when they chose not to renew his contract.
In 2005, he went back to Augsburg, when the club sporting director was Andreas Rettig adding that admiration of Tuchel’s tactical discipline made him to be appointed as the youth team coordinator.
Tuchel held the position for a period of three years before transforming into management this is after he was offered a position of first team coach at FC Augsburg II for the 2007–08 season.
While at Dortmund Tuchel won his first major honour as a coach when the team won its first trophy after five years as they managed to beat Eintracht Frankfurt. He left Dortmund with 68 wins, 23 draws, and 17 defeats in 108 matches.
He later signed a 2 year contract with Paris Saint-German. Through him the team managed to secure a victory over Nantes in December, he also broke the record of most points by Christmass with 47 points.
His team PSG defeated RB Leipzig a 3-0 win in the semi-finals and the first European finals and lost the match with a single goal to Bayern Munich on 23 August.
Tuchel left PSG with a record of 95 wins, 13 draws, and 19 defeats in 127 games, with the a win percentage of 75.6%.

Coaching at Chelsea
In January 2021, Tuchel signed an 18-month contract with Chelsea, replacing Frank Lampard. He resumed his work the following day where the team had a match against Wolverhampton Wanderers that ended up a draw of no goal for the both Tuchel as the manager he helped the team win against Burnley 2–0 at home. This was his first premier league that earned him a win of his first London derby and lste won an away match against Tottenham Hotspur 1–0 on 4 February.
On the 17 th of April, Tuchel led his team Chelsea to the FA Cup Final, beating Manchester City 1–0 in the semi-finals.
Tuchel also led Chelsea to Champions League Final this is after a 3–1 aggregate win against Real Madrid in the semi-finals, he became the first coach to reach consecutive finals with two different clubs. Eventually Tuchel led Chelsea to European win of 1-0 against Manchester City in the final.
