In addtion, he is a recipient of an Associated Press Award for his “Outstanding Weather Special” in 1999. Moreover, Sabol has seen and forecasted many weather events such as the heavy snows of the late 1970s, the drought of 1988. Having grown at Northeastern Ohio he comfortably forecasted a few tornado outbreaks.
Sabol enjoys sports for he was a captain of his Division III college baseball team for two years and had a batting average of over 0.400. He also coached football, basketball, and baseball. he also likes drawing, weightlifting, photography, playing drums, and the outdoors.
