Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns is a professional wrestler and actor. He is of Samoan and Italian descent and comes from a family of professional wrestlers. His father, Sika Anoa’i, and brother, Rosey, who both competed in WWE.

Reigns, whose birth name is Leati Joseph Anoa’i. Roman Reigns’ father is Sika Anoa’i, a retired professional wrestler who competed as one half of the tag team The Wild Samoans.

His mother’s name is Patricia Anoa’i. Reigns has two older brothers, David and Matthew “Rosey” Anoa’i, who was also a professional wrestler and competed in WWE. Unfortunately, Rosey passed away in 2017 at the age of 47 due to congestive heart failure. Reigns also has a younger sister named Vanessa.

Growing up, Reigns played football and was a standout defensive lineman at both Escambia High School in Pensacola. Later he played at Pensacola Catholic High School. He went on to play football at Georgia Tech and then transferred to the University of Minnesota, where he was a three-year starter and earned All-Big Ten honors.

Reign was signed by the Minnesota Vikings in 2007 but was released from the team before the regular season began. He then pursued a career in professional wrestling, training at the Wild Samoan Training Center, which was founded by his uncle, Afa Anoa’i.
