Reigns, whose birth name is Leati Joseph Anoa’i. Roman Reigns’ father is Sika Anoa’i, a retired professional wrestler who competed as one half of the tag team The Wild Samoans.
His mother’s name is Patricia Anoa’i. Reigns has two older brothers, David and Matthew “Rosey” Anoa’i, who was also a professional wrestler and competed in WWE. Unfortunately, Rosey passed away in 2017 at the age of 47 due to congestive heart failure. Reigns also has a younger sister named Vanessa.

Growing up, Reigns played football and was a standout defensive lineman at both Escambia High School in Pensacola. Later he played at Pensacola Catholic High School.
