Biography of Raphael Tuju

Raphael Tuju is a Kenyan Politician, former TV producer, Journalist and a real estate investor. He is the former MP for Rarieda Constituency following the 2002 general election.

Tuju attended Majiwa Primary School. However, the family relocated to Nakuru where he joined Nakuru West Primary School. He then moved to Nairobi to join Starehe boys Centre for his secondary education. He then fled to the United Kingdom to join Leicester University where he pursued Master of Arts (MA) degree in mass communications.

In the 1980s Tuju uju worked as a TV news anchor where he worked till mid1990s as a part time job. Tuju was also a producer and a director for many radios and Tv commercial entertainments and several documentaries which were for international agencies, he was also the director of both the private sector bodies and public sector institutions. He worked for the East African Standard local newspaper as a columnist.

Tuju worked in many public communication program in designing and implementing them serving as a lead consultant in clientele such as the World Bank, The British Department of International Development and the World Health Organizations in Geneva among others.

From 1992 to 2001 at the Ace Communications he worked as a founder director.

Tuju then joined politics in 2002 where he vied for the parliamentary seat for Rarieda constituency a position he served till 2007 and the member of his constituency accredited him with his hard work in the education sector and water projects. While serving his term Tuju also held the portfolio of minister of Information communication and minister of tourism and wildlife from 2003 to 2005

In 2008 he served as the Kenyan president advisor on matters of media and diversity management a position he served upto 2011. He was elected by jubilee to serve as the secretary general of the party in 2017.
