Otiende Amollo Education background
Otiende attended Maseno Mixed Primary School, he then joined Maranda High School in 1986 where he sat for his KCSE. He then joined the University of Nairobi to pursue bachelor’s in law and graduated in 1995.
A year later he enrolled for Diploma in Law and graduated in 1998. He then joined the University of LUND in Sweden to pursue Certificate in International Human Rights Law. Otiende then did his master’s in law at the Nairobi University under the scholarship of (D.A.A.D. German Academic Exchange Program) in 2014. Otiende Amolo from the Maseno University got a letter of Honorary Doctor Degree.
Otiende Amollo’s career
Amollo career in advocacy began in 1969 where he partnered with Rachier to come Rachier and Amollo Advocate. 40 years later Otiende left the partnership in 2009. He then became a member of the Committee of Experts on Constitution where he served from 2009 to 2010. He also worked at the Commission administrative of Justice as the Ombudsman where he served from 2014 to 2016.
Since 2011 Amolo have worked as the Commission on Administrative Justice Chair. He has also been serving as a Member of Parliament for Rarienda Constituency. He was also the Kenyan Section of the International Commission of Jurists as the Chairperson. Then he served the Action Aid International- Kenya as the Chairperson. He also held another good position of East African Law Society as the Secretary General. He served the Law Society of Kenya as a Member of the Council where he has done a number of research.
Otiende Amolo is also a member of East African Law Society, Commonwealth Law Association, East African Law Society and International Bar Association.
