Paul Gerald Cattermole was an singer and an actor from England, he has released many singles such a “Falling”, “Out Of Control” among others and owned a metal band named Skua, he also appeared in various TV shows including the Viva S club and Miami 7.

Paul Cattermole Career

Cattermole’s musical career began in the early 1990s when he joined West Side Story which was a local performance. He then moved to the National Youth Music Theatre and this where he met Hannah Spearritt his S Club 7 bandmate where they both appeared in the Pendragon in 1994, Cattermole created heavy metal band named Skua at the age of 16. He was then chosen by Simon Fuller to join the S Club 7.

Before he was fully recruited, he performed a number of auditions together with Hannah Spearritt, Bradley McIntosh, Tina Barrett, Jo O’Meara and Jon Lee. He spent 5 years in S Club 7. Together, they managed to release one number-one album and four number-one singles which appeared to be the one UK No.1 album and four UK No.1 singles and were hitting all over Europe, Africa, Asia, and the United States. Other than music the S Club 7 had various TV shows namely Viva S Club, Miami 7, L.A and Hollywood 7.

They managed to record four albums, released 11 singles and sold more than fourteen million albums throughout the world. In the course of their career they changed to more of dances and R&B sound where they were signed under Polydor Records with their TV shows going up to four series which became popular in 100 different countries. The club won the two Brit Awards.

In 2002 Cattermole rejoined his metal band Skua and called a quit to S Club 7 claiming of mismanagement. He reunited with his former schoolmates where they together formed Metal band Skua which was described as having ”Limp Biz;kit vibe” where they also compared their styles with those of the machine. Due to the failure to sign with a record label and other shows the band had to split up.

Five years later in 2008 it was announced that Cattermole and his partners O’Meara and McIntosh were to perform under the title S Club 3. They performed set list which consisted of a number of University and night club gigs with songs from their greatest hit album. In July 2011 during the ‘The Sounds of Summer’ a charity concert Cattermole sang with his own band at Lord Taverners’ club in London.

In 2014 Skau improved joined S Club 7 leaving S Club 3 and the band released their first ever single “Falling” followed by another named “Out Of Control” and “Go Not Choice”, they released debut album named “Kneel” in October same year. Skau lacked a firstman and the project was paused after releasing only one album.

Cattermole appeared in the production of The Rocky Horror Show playing the role of Eddie. He got an injury while he was dancing and left Rocky Horror Show after which he claimed in an interview he was the doing odd jobs to survive financially and he later got a regular job working as a local station manager in Swanage he also provided online tarot cards services. The S Club 7 had planned a second reunion tour before his death.
