Pastor Ezekiel Odero rouse from a fishman to an influential pastor in Kenya. He is a Luo who is at his midst 40’s, and was born in Homabay County. Coming from a poor background, he wasn’t lucky enough to complete his third year at the Technical University of Mombasa.

Pastor Ezekiel began his career as a fisherman in Rusinga Islands in Kisumu. After some time, he moved to Mombasa where he was studying and decided to be a mason. In 2020, during the pandemic is where his life took a turn after he became famous, after he was seen with his Pastor Pius Muiru, His alleged mentor.

Evangelist Odero used to play violin and piano in the Repentance and Holiness ministry owned by Pastor David Awour. He is now the founder of New Life Church in Kilifi, Mombasa, which is now one of the biggest churches in Kenya, occupying a capacity of 45,000.
The congregants come from all over the world. His new church is magnificent, luxurious and massive. It has a four-story staff quarter, a world class hotel and restaurant, cottage for guests and a petrol station. It is surprising that the church also has a bank and a mall. The compound also has Pastor Ezekiel mansion with 31 bedrooms. He also has built schools in the same compound.

He has a net worth of over KSh. 1 billion as of 2023, believed to be one of the richest pastors in Kenya. This can be justified by his massive church and compound that he owns at Mavueni in Kilifi County. He owns 10 buses used to commute people visiting the church. He also owns a Lexus LX 570 among others.
Pastor Ezekiel Odero Arrest
He was arrested on 27th April 2023 in funeral home probe. The police arrested him on allegations of the deaths that have been occurring at his residence and have started their investigations on his relationship with the controversial pastor, Paul Mackenzie. They also examined the morgue near Pastor Odero’s premises. He was taken to Shanzu Law Court while being investigated on a number of charges including murder, aiding suicide, abduction, fraud and money laundering.
His church then was shut down after over 103 bodies were evacuated near an 800-acre land near his premises. The court then released him from police custody after failing to link the mass killing of followers with him on a 3 million bond or a 1.5 million cash bail. Later his 28 accounts were frozen and on 4th May, he went back to seek unfreezing of his accounts. The court dismissed his application.
