Before venturing into basketball Kesley was a volleyball player and she also did well in the USA Volleyball Junior system. But when she joined High School, her passion changed to basketball.
Lesley started playing basketball when she was still in high school. She played her college basketball career at Washington University where she also took part in the team that played the U-19 team in 2013. In 2015 she played for the Pan American Team.
After her college career Kesley was drafted by San Antonio Stars during the 2017 Women National Basketball Player (WNBA) Draft. She was the first to be picked as first NBA overall pick from her school.Her first match was a success in a March against the Dallas Wings. On February 25th that year in her senior night she recorded her first career high of 57 points, 19 out of 28 shots that she strikes. She broke the record of NCAA Division I Women’s basketball all-time scoring by a total of 3397.
During the 2017-2018 off season Kesley signed with the Fenerbahçe. She helped her team to carry the victory of the Turkish Women’s Basketball League Championship title. During the next off season she was with the Fenerbahçe for the second time and they won their second Turkish League Championship and also the Turkish Cup.
In January 2020 her broadcast career came knocking after she was analyst during the Arizona State-Washington Women’s basketball match by the Pac-12 Network. She signed a two year deal with the Las Vegas in 2022. With 30 points by July she earned the All Star MVP Award
