Political career
In the 2017 elections, she competed for Nairobi women’s representative using a Jubilee party ticket which she unsuccessfully lost. In 2022 she made her bid to inherit Nairobi senator from Governor Johnson Sakaja using a UDA ticket. Again she lost. However, she was nominated by UDA as a senator.
There are rumors that she has political godfather claims that she has since dismissed. Karen says that her savings and clients helped her finance the 2017 elections campaigns.
Away from politics and law, the hardworking lady is a member of the board of directors of Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company.

Karen as per the information available is not married and has had a string of failed relationships. She is a mother of two, a son and a daughter.
Karen has a daughter with Dj saint Kevin who is her firstborn. Little is known about the Dj.
However, from Karen’s social media account, they two seem to be on good terms. In one of her posts, she congratulates Dj Kelvin on fathers day.
Additionally, she said that she had a son with a popular Kikuyu musician Sam Muchoki popularly known as Samidoh. The two have had a dramatic affair. On several occasions, the two have washed their dirty linen in public.
Senator Karen Nyamu and Samidoh Dating Drama
The two met for the first time in 2019 when Samidoh was performing at a political rally. As of when their relationship shifted from an acquaintance to a lover remains a secret.
However, Karen confesses to not knowing that Samidoh was married. In her confession, she says that she did not see a wedding ring on Samidoh. Apparently, she later learnt from a friend that Samidoh is married.
Fast forward their affair become a public talk and debate. The docile and secret Samidoh and his family were exposed. However, the two later apologized to their fans and family.
In one of her interviews, Karen said that she did not fight Samidoh’s wife and has even help Samidoh legally register a company.
This seemed to be a closure to their drama. However, it was never to be. On December 16, 2022, Karen Nyamu engaged in a drama at Samidoh’s Dubai concert. The video went viral.
Let us give you a hint of what it was all about. Karen walked on top of the table where Samidoh and his wife, Edday Nderitu were sipping a drink. This was not enough. She went ahead and attempted to seat on Samidoh’s laps.
It is at this point that Samidoh’s wife confronted her. However, the scene did not get angry as the security intervened. Karen was escorted out.
This incident caught the attention of her political party, UDA and was sermoned for disciplinary.
