Justina Wambui Wamae came to the public limelight after she was nominated as Prof. George Luchiri Wajackoyah. In the 2022 Kenya election, Wamae is the youngest presidential running mate. She is an active member of the Roots Party of Kenya. She dominated in the first tier of the 2022 Deputy Presidential debate held at Catholic University, Kenya. Wamae is a procurement practitioner.

Where was Justina Wamae Born

Justina was born in Kibera, Nairobi, Kenya in the year 1987. We could not ascertain her actual date of birth. She was raised at Kibera but her parent later relocated to Syokimau following the 2007/2008 post-election violence.

Justina Wamae Career History

After her graduation, Wamae took a long time to get her first formal job. However, participated in several internship programs in different organizations as outlined below.

  1. 2009 (nine months)-Logistics and Store intern at ICRAF
  2. 2009/2010 (7 months)-Procurement and Administrative service intern at Somali, UNDP
  3. Nine months later Wamae joined Kenya Ports Authority as a procurement intern

Her exposure somehow paid off, Justina got a temporary position at the British Council as a program coordinator and programme assistant. She transitioned from the British Council to Finpro Associates to offer financial management, strategic leadership and delivery expertise. Wamae held this position for 3 years.

On September 2017, Wamae joined Datum Dredgers Kenya as Client Service Manager. She held this position until 2022 when is was nominated by Prof. George Wajackoyah’s presidential running mate.

Between 2015 to 2016, Justina Wambui devoted herself to being a contributor to The Platform Kenyan Magazine.

Her entry into politics started in 2016 when she chaired a women’s political lobby group, WaremboNaUhuru. However, she dropped this position in September 2017 for formal employment.

In 2017, Justina Wamae vied for Mavoko parliamentary but lost. Her passion for politics remained underrated, in 2022 Justina was nominated as presidential running mate by the Roots Party of Kenya.
