JJ’s career began when he was still in the University when he joined the Central Michigan University and played basketball and recorded 8 receptions and 77 receiving yards after making 77 appearances. He then joined Wisconsin Madison where he recorded seven sacks, 20 assists and nine passes. By the time he was done with his college career he was crowned the All-American First team and also the All-Big Ten first team.

JJ began his professional career in 2011 during the 2011 NFL Draft where he was the top performer in all the categories. 0n July he signed a contract worth $11.24 million with the Houston Texans. In his rookie year he appeared in all 16 games that he started and helped the Texans to earn the Team rookie of the year. In 2012 JJ recorded 20.5 sacks, 2 fumble receiver fumbles, 12 assisted tackles and 69 solo tackle.
The next season in 2013 he did well despite his team having lost. In 2014, he extended his contract with the Texans for $100 million and he earned the Pro Bowl Captain and 2014 Pro Bowl in NFL. That same year Jj made it to the All-Pro Second team as the defensive player of which after the season he earned the NFL Top 100 Players of the year 2015.
In 2015 he managed to start 16 matches and recorded three forced fumbles, 8 defended passes, 76 tackles, one fumble recovery and 17.6 sacks. He was awarded to the third team after being earned the Defensive player of the Year Award in 2015. In 2016 JJ unfortunately sustained an injury and underwent a back durgery. He played up to September before he was sidelined for the surgery. In 2017 in a match against the Kansa City Chiefs he again left the match die to leg injury with was revealed to be a tibial plateau fracture in his left leg which forced him to be in the bench until the end of the season.
In 2018 he was bark and recorded 15 sacks in four seasons. He was the second player to have recorded at least 15 tables in four matches in sack became official in 1982.He played 8 matches in season 2019.

Other than football Watt has us an actor and has played some minor roles in a TV series named The League and the New Girl. He has also appeared in a movie named Bad Mom’s where he played a minor role. He also runs a foundation named Justin J. Watts Foundation which provided sporting opportunities after school and he is the president of the foundation who’s motto is Dream Big, Work Hard.
