Joyce Korir Biography
Joyce Korir is a Kenyan politician who has served as a Women Representative in Bomet County since 2017. She was also the first female mayor of Bomet where she served between the years 2007 and 2013.

Joyce Korir’s Education background
Chepkoech Korir went to Tendewet Primary school between the years 1987 and 1995. From there, she attended Mugango secondary school in 1996 and completed her secondary course in 1999.
Afterwards, Senator Korir obtained a certificate in legal studies from the Kenya Institute of Legal studies in the year 2004. She later on enrolled at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology where she did a diploma in County Governance in 2014.
Between 2018-2022, senator Korir studied Degree Arts Communication & public relations at Moi University.
Joyce Korir’s Career
Joyce was elected as the Councilor for Singorwet Ward. She also served as the first female Mayor of Bomet Municipality from 2011 to 2013. In the year 2017 she was elected as Bomet County Assembly Speaker under Jubilee Party.
After the 2022 general election Korir was nominated as a senator on UDA ticket.
