Biography of Jackson Mandago
Jackson Mandago is a Kenyan politician and the current senator of Uasin Gishu County following the August 2022 polls. He is also the first governor of Uasin Gishu County where he served for two terms after being reelected in 2017 on Jubilee ticket.

Mandago attended Kapubu primary school where he did his Certificate of Primary Education (CPE). He then moved to Eldoret Harambee School for his secondary education. To further his education Mandago joined Kenyatta University where he pursued a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. Later he proceeded to the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) where he graduated with a Master’s degree in Procurement and Strategic Planning.

Jackson Mandago Career Background
Mandago served as an ICT officer in the ministry of planning where he worked from 1999 to 2000. He worked at the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) as Deputy C.O.O a position he served from 2003 to 2009. Mandago then served for the Uasin Gishu Rotary Club and the Agriculture Society of Kenya, the Eldoret Chapter as a patron.
Politics
He joined politics in 2013 Uasin Gishu at the start of devolution and vied for Uasin Gishu County gubernatorial seat. He Won the election becoming the first governor of Uasin Gishu County. Mandago made a comeback in the next general election in 2017 and was reelected as a Uasin Gishu County governor.
Upon completion of his two maximum terms, during the August 2022 general elections, he went for the Uasin gishu Senatorial seat. He was elected and he is currently the third Senator since devolution. Mandago is serving the senate as the Chairperson of the Health Committee Chairperson.
