Biography of Isaac Mwaura
Isaac Mwaura is a Kenyan politician, a disability advocate and a former (2017-2022) nominated Senator. In the Senate he represents Persons with Disabilities. Mwaura was also a member of parliament representing special interest group.
On 16th March 2023, President William Ruto appointed Mwaura as a Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) in the office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary.

Isaac Mwaura Education Background
Mwaura joined Thika School for the Blind which was a national special primary school that admitted pupils who are visually challenged and those with albinism for his primary education. He sat for KCPE and come out with flying colours emerging the top pupil in KCPE in 1996. His performance got him a chance at Starehe Boys Centre, the best performing school in Nairobi but due to his condition he opted for Thika High School of Blind in1997.
When Mwaura was done with his Secondary education he joined Kenyatta University 2002 and studied bachelor’s degree in Special Education French Studies and in Japanese. He then studied diploma in Public Relations Management in Kenya Institute of Management .
In 2012 Mwaura graduated master’s degree in social and public Policy from the University of Leeds in United Kingdom and master’s in arts in Development Studies from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University which is in South Africa.
In 2016, Mwaura was awarded with the honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Humanities.

Mwaura have worked for Organizations supporting persons with disability both nationally and internationally. In 2004 was appointed as a member of board of directors to the National Council for the
Persons with Disabilities.
In 2006 he worked with African Union of the Blind as the Regional Programme Coordinator. He then worked as the head of communication and public relations under National Council of Persons with Disability.
In 2007 he worked with Uraia Trust Civic Education Programme as the officer in charge of National Civic Education Programme. He worked as the Programme Development Advisor on Human Rights Voluntary Services Overseas.
He then worked as the Senior Adviser on Special Interest Groups to Raila Odinga. Mwaura is a founder member and National Coordinator and the Chairman of Albinism Society of Kenya,
In the senate he represents persons with disability and in the parliament representing special interest group.
