Biography of Ibrahim Ali Roba
Ibrahim Ali Roba is the Mandera current senator who was elected in the August 2022 general elections on an ODM ticket. He was the first governor of Mandera County who served for two consecutive terms where he won the March 2013 and the August 2017 elections on United Republic Party (URP).

Ali Roba worked at the Airkenya Express as the Operations Coordinator where he helped with the following coordination of the team, planning on flight operation, coordination of line maintenance, coordination of the ramp, dispatch of flights, coordination of the cabin group and customer relations.
In 2008 he was appointed the Chief Pilot. In his position, he has contributed extremely well to the overall compliance in the levels of DAC Aviation (EA) Ltd. His role led to the attainment of an ‘A’ systems together with rating of the operational audit but the DAC Aviation International.
He also played a role in the restructuring of the department of flight operation. Moreover, he helped enhance efficiency of the functions of the operational control to get to the desirable level in the Kenyan general aviation industry.

In 2013 general elections he vied for the Mandera gubernatorial seat. He was elected under the United Republic Party (URP) ticket. He again vied for another term which was in the 2017 general elections, and he was reelected.
During the 2022 general elections he vied for the Mandera County senatorial seat and was elected with ODM ticket.
