Hillary Sigei began as a legal intern advocate at the Mbugua and Mbugua advocates between the years 2005 and 2007. He also served at the Barclay’s Bank of Kenya for one year before moving to Katwa and Kemboy advocates as an associate, between the years 2009 and 2011.
Hillary was also a founding partner of the Sigei and Associates where he served for only one year. He then moved to the SMS Advocates LLP as a managing partner in the year 2013 and works there till date.
Hillary Sigei has over fifteen (15) years of experience as an advocate of the High Court of Kenya. He has earned excellent reputation for achieving results. He has particular expertise in arbitration, mediation, commercial litigation and legislative drafting.
Over the years, Hillary has also developed extensive experience in disputes relating to commercial disputes, investments and specific expertise in matters involving generation of policy documents for public sector agencies that informs legislative initiatives and has been part of teams that have conducted legislative drafting and legislative reviews in various county and national governments.
During the 2022 general election, Hillary vied for Bomet County senatorial position where he won. He is the senator for Bomet County.
