Enoch Kiio Wambua is the senator of Kitui County on Wiper Democratic Movement (WDMK) party following the August 2022 general elections. Before he joined politics he had worked with the Standard group as an editor.

He also graduated with Diploma in planning and management from the Catholic University of East Africa which was from 1996 to 1997. He later moved to Cairo in Egypt where he did certificate in Mass communication at the Union of African Journalists in 2001. From 2007 to 2008 he moved to Massachussetts in the United States where he graduated with Diploma in American studies from Smith college.

Wambua worked as the Kenya Time Media Trust Managing Editor of the weekend editions that’s the Standard on Saturday and the Standard on Sunday from 2000 to 2006. He also served as the Nation Media group Associate from 2005 to 2013.
Wambua left the Media industry to join politics where he campaigned with Wiper Democratic Movement party. He won the elections in 2017 and made a comeback in the August 2022 polls which he won for the second time. He is now serving as Kitui senator in a second term.
