Christian started playing basketball while still in Blue Valley Northwest High School and during his senior career he recorded 9.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 27.8 points in average per game with his efforts his team managed to win the third eight straight Class 6A state title.
He was named the Mr. Kansas Basketball and Kansas Gatorade Player of the year. He later received a number of offers but settled for Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball.
In 2020 Christian began his freshman year with the Kansas and in the season, he recorded an average of 2.9 rebounds and 5.3 points per game. At the same time he was named the Big12All-Fresnan team honor. That same year in November he recorded his first career high of 9 rebounds, 30 points and 4 steals and this was in a match they won over Saint Joseph’s.
Christian Sophomore year was in 2021 where he recorded an average of 6.2 rebound and 9.7 points per game. He was also named the second-team all- big 12 in junior. During the 2022 NBA Draft Denver Nuggets drafted him with a rookie scale contract at their pick of 21 overall
