Adebayo career began in high school like Cougars where he recorded an average of 1.5 assists, 18.9 points 1.4 blocks and 13.0 rebound. After his high school career during the 2017 NBA Draft the Miami Heat selected him as the 14th overall in June 22nd.
He got his rookie scale deal from the Heats in July 1st. During the rookie campaign Adebayo appeared in 69 games and recorded an average of 5.5 rebounds and 6.9 points. In November 2018 in a match against the Toronto Raptors Adebayo gathered 16 points and 21 rebounds this recording his first career high with the Heat in a match the carried away.
During the 2019-2020 season Adebayo was given his debut season which came after the trading of Hassan Whiteside. In December 2019 in a match against the Talanta Hawks he recorded 11 assists, 30 points and 11 rebounds in a victory of 135-121 and this earned him his first triple double of his career.

On November 28th, 2020, Adebayo resigned another 5 year contract extension with the Heat. On January 23rd in 2021 Adebayo recorded another career high of 9 assists and 41 points in a match they lost against the Brooklyn Nets.

Unfortunately, in November he sustained a thumb injury and underwent a thumb surgery in December and he was out for four to six weeks. He helped the heat to reach the top speed in the Eastern Conference in a match they won against the Boston Celtics. In the Eastern Conference finals Adebayo managed to beat the Boston Celtics by 109-103 with him recording 4 steals, 10 rebounds, six assists15 goal attempts and 31 points.
In November 2022 in a match again at the Washington Wizards Adebayo recorded 12 rebounds and 38 points has season high. He was selected to the second NBA All-Star Game in February2nd 2023.
