Austin Kendall Transfer

Austin Kendall transferred twice during his college football career.

In 2019, Kendall transferred from the University of Oklahoma to West Virginia University, where he became the starting quarterback for the Mountaineers. He played one season at West Virginia, starting all 12 games and throwing for 1,989 yards, 12 touchdowns, and ten interceptions.

Additionaly, Kendall transferred again in 2020, this time to Louisiana Tech University. He played in four games for the Bulldogs, completing 58 of 105 passes for 653 yards, six touchdowns, and four interceptions.

Kendall’s decision to transfer from Oklahoma was partly due to the emergence of highly touted quarterback recruit Spencer Rattler, who was expected to take over as the starting quarterback for the Sooners. Kendall sought more playing time and a chance to compete for a starting job at another program.

Kendall’s decision to transfer to Louisiana Tech was not publicly explained, but it is possible that he wanted to continue his football career at a school where he could have a larger role or a better opportunity to showcase his talents.
