Andrew McCutchen’s career began when he was at University of Florida where he joined the major league team Pittsburgh Pirates in 2005 and signed a contract b of $1.9 million. He made his MLB debut in 2009. McCutchen played for the pirates till 2017. During his career with the pirates he earned the All-star selections totaling to 5 together with the title of most valuable player Award of the National League in 2013.
He was then traded to the San Francisco Giants in 2017 and made 130 appearances batting .255 with 15 home runs and 55 RBI. The giants later sold him to the New York Yankees in 2018 and he recorded .255/.368/.424 with 20 home runs, 95 walks, 14 stolen bases, together with 65RBIs.
In December 2018 he joined the Philadelphia Phillies and signed a 3 year contract with them and with the team he was third with 43 walks, 4.45 pitches per plate appearance, and 5th with 45 runs. In 2021 he made 144 appearances and battered .222/334/.444 followed with 27 home runs together with 80 RBIs.
Additionally, in 2022 he signed a one-year contract worth $8.5 million with the Milwaukee Brewers. During the season with the team, he collected 237/.316/.384 together with 17 home runs within 515 at bats.
In January 2023 Andrew made a comeback to the Pittsburgh Pirates and signed a one year deal worth $5 million.
