Aaron career began in 2009 as a freshman where he recorded an average of 2.1 blocks, 11.8 points and 10.1 rebounds. He also played for the Oakland soldiers during the Summer Basketball where he assisted the team in their win of Mighty States in Men’s Basketball.
In 2011 season in his junior career Aaron managed to record an average of 12 rebounds and 22.9 points per match and in that season he earned the California Mr Vasketbalk oth the Year title. On 2013 April he joined the University of Arizona which he declared before the coming if the McDonald’s All American Games where he led the latest to a 110-99 win.
During the 2014 NBA Draft Aaron was selected by the Orlando Magics in the fourth overall in June. He then signed a contract with the Magics and played during the 2014 NBA Summer League in July. He sustained a bone fracture in November and was ruled out. Aaron returned in January 2015 with his first match against the Oklahoma Vity Thunder.
He appeared again with the Magic in July during the 2015 NBA Summer League and appeared in three matches recording an average of 1.7 blocks, 11.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 21.7 points which was followed in the following night in a match against San Antonio Spurs scoring career high of 16 rebounds. During the 2016 Slam Dunk contest Aaron was a runner-up to Zach LaVine. He scored his career high in a match they won against the Philadelphia 76ers where he gathered 22 points.
During the 2016-2017 season Gordon recorded yet another career high of 33 points in a match they loss to Los Angeles Vippers in December 2016. In 2017 February he again took part in the Slam Dunk Contest. In the season finale in April in a win over the Detroit Aaron gathered 12 rebounds and 32 points. During the2017-2018 season Aaron got another chance and recorded another career high of 41 points.
On December 30th the Magics lost to the Miami Heat and Aarin recorded 39 points. Aaron renewed his contract with the Magic on July 6th, 2018. In a match against the New York Knicks which was a win to them, and he gathered 31 points. He recorded another career high after leading the Magic in the victory over the Chicago Bulls.
During the 2019-2020 season Aaron again participated in the 2020 NBA All-Star Weekend Slam Dunk contest. In a victory game against the Brooklyn Nets Aaron recorded a season high of four assists, 38 points and six rebounds. In March 22 he was traded to the Denver Nuggets which was in exchange of R.J Hampton together with a future first round pick on March 25th in 202.
He appeared in a total number of 25 games and recorded an average of 4.2 assists, 14.6 points and 6.6 rebounds. In March 2021 he made a debut in a match against the Atlanta Hawks where he recorded two rebounds and logged 13 points.
In 2011 Aaron represented the USA Team in the 2011 FIBA in the Under-16 Championship gold medal where he recorded a team high of 11.2 rebounds, 3.2 blocks and 17.0 points again in 2013 he led the USA to the 2013 FIBA Under-19 World Cup in Prague where he earned the MVP honor and gathered an average of 6.2 rebound and 16.2 points. He also earned himself the 2011-2012 USA Developmental National Team.
